Katahdin Woods and Waters in Patten offering dark sky sanctuary

Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument in Patten is offering a certified international dark sky sanctuary for anyone wanting to visit. The sanctuary is the second of its kind in the national park service, and it’s only the 12th designation in the entire world. Organizers of the sanctuary hope the beautiful sanctuary will bring people in from all over the world.
