AT&T tower permit returned to Weld planners for information

LIVERMORE FALLS ADVERTISER • January 20, 2021

The Weld Board of Appeals on Tuesday sent AT&T’s permit to build a 190-foot cellphone tower back to the Planning Board with instructions to provide more information. While it was prepared to do so, the Planning Board never addressed each of the nine standards included under Article 21 of the Building Ordinance. Federal telecommunication law prohibits local zoning ordinances from keeping telecommunication companies from closing gaps in service.
