Group honors four Mainers for helping environment

The Natural Resources Council of Maine is honoring four Mainers this week for their contributions to protecting the environment in the Pine Tree State. The council will host a live virtual awards program on Tuesday from 6-7 p.m. to celebrate the winners.The award recipients include:
• UMaine Professor Ivan Fernandez, of Orono
• Laura Marston, of South Portland, small business owner
• John Banks, of Orono, Lifetime Achievement Award
• Sam Saltonstall, of Brunswick
