As the state senator for Skowhegan, I’m so pleased to announce that Sen. Susan Collins has secured $2 million in the Fiscal Year 2022 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations bill to support the Run of the River project. This project, which Sen. Collins called “visionary,” seeks to revitalize the downtown area by utilizing our greatest asset: the Kennebec River. If awarded, these funds will help support the construction of paved walkways, trail access, a riverfront promenade and other infrastructure improvements. ~ Sen. Brad Farrin, R-Norridgewock
