Maine State Representative Lydia Blume of York is among members of the National Caucus of Environmental Legislators who have been in Glasgow, Scotland at the COP 26 climate conference. Blume said, “We were talking about carbon pricing, how the price of carbon is too low, that we have to add that social value cost to the price of carbon. And that really has to come from the federal government….We did a lot of work on [the Maine] climate council report. There are a lot of recommendations in it. The only message I have to come back to is how we can do it faster.”
