Company that spilled more than a ton of plastic into Penobscot Bay must pay $17,800 fine

MAINE PUBLIC • December 2, 2021

State environmental officials have approved an agreement fining Sprague Operating Resources nearly $18,000 for spilling more than a ton of plastic debris, which was en route from Ireland to an incinerator in Orrington, into Penobscot Bay last year.
