Culvert project will restore fish passage in watershed

Replacement of the Snow’s Brook culvert along Route 15 in Sedgwick is scheduled for July 15 to September 30, Ciona Ulbrich, project manager of the Maine Coast Heritage Trust, reported at the January 21 meeting of the Sedgwick Select Board. Ulbrich said, “It large concrete box culvert instead of the round hole pipe culvert that is there.” The $1.25 million project will provide passage for alewife fish to Snow’s Brook and Frost Pond.
