A Waterville truck body manufacturing plant has agreed to pay $220,000 in workplace safety penalties to settle complaints by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Some of The Shyft Duramag LLC’s penalties were reclassified to lower levels of severity, prompting a change in the original $394,000 in penalties down to $220,000, according to the settlement agreement.
