The L.C. Bates Museum Summer 2021 Exhibition, Marks and Tracks, will host a virtual opening at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 8. Artists Alen Bray, Jeff Epstein, Natasha Mayers and Karen Adrienne will speak about their work. The exhibit, including images of the artists’ work and statements about their work, will be on the site long-term. Marks and Tracks showcases the work of 25 contemporary artists from Maine or with close ties to Maine that explore, in a variety of mediums, the myriad marks and tracks that appear in the natural world around us, as well as those that emerge as records of human activity and, perhaps more fundamentally, existence.
