Letter: CMP employees dedicated to Maine

MORNING SENTINEL • June 25, 2021

Will Mainers ever be satisfied? I doubt it. They don’t want the Corridor project, but they want green power to reduce our carbon footprint. Hydro-Quebec’s project would alleviate New England’s carbon footprint substantially. The hunters, fishermen, and others who recreate outdoors will be able to access the Great North Woods even better in that 45-mile region. Now they want Pine Tree Power, a Maine government-run power utility. Do you really think you can force two private utilities to sell? Dream on. Good luck finding the dedication, despite the conditions, of a group of men and women such as CMP employees. ~ John Rossignol, Oakland
