Working: Running Maine’s largest state park

SUN JOURNAL • July 9, 2021

Farnham is the longest-serving park manager on the job this summer, helming Maine’s largest state park for the 34th season. With 8,000 acres, Mt. Blue is the largest in the state park system and draws 25,000 to 30,000 campers and 40,000 to 50,000 day visitors a year. [Note: Baxter State Park is 210,000 acres but is separate from the Maine State Park system.]
