National Park fee-free days in August

MAINE ENVIRONMENTAL NEWS • July 31, 2021

Six times a year all National Park Service areas waive entrance fees. Two of the six fee-free days are in August this year: August 4, the One-Year Anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act; and August 25, the National Park Service’s 105th birthday. Although the waiver does not cover user fees for activities such as camping or special tours, it is a terrific opportunity to visit a national park near you.
