Approximately 90 cars will navigate the treacherous corners of logging roads near Sunday River during the 30th annual auto race. “Cars on a 25 mph dirt road are exceeding 80 mph pretty consistently,” said Chris Cyr, business manager of the New England Forest Rally. He estimated 50% of competitors fail to finish each race, “much less actually win it.” Weekend tickets for the Rally Bus, which carries spectators from stage to stage, are available for $150.
