Letter: EV battery production is hard on the environment

To build just one electric car battery takes tremendous amounts of energy supplied by coal, nuclear or gas-fired power plants. If you previously concluded that electric battery-powered cars were the answer, maybe it’s time to rethink that position. Google the number of gallons of water required to refine even one ton of lithium and what becomes of that water once used as that part of the process. It’s not good. ~ Martin Crosby, York
