PORTLAND PRESS HERALD • November 6, 2022

A day after Portland hit 75 degrees, setting a record for any day in November, Augusta set a new mark for the second straight day with a high of 72. The city’s previous high on Nov. 6 was 66 degrees in 2020. Augusta saw a temperature of 76 degrees on Saturday. Portland’s high on Sunday was 68, 2 degrees shy of breaking its record of 71, also in 2020. “And we could have another day of record high through Monday,” said Jerry Combs, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
