Penobscot County deputy sheriff dies in northern Maine snowmobile crash

Staff Sgt. Bobbie Pelletier of the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office died Sunday after a snowmobile crash in Aroostook County, the department said. The staff sergeant died after a “snowmobile accident” in Limestone, Sheriff Troy Morton said in a Facebook post on Sunday night. The office was not immediately releasing more details out of respect for Pelletier’s family.
