The Norway Select Board approved a resolution that will allow the town to apply for funds from the Community Action Grant Program. The resolution designates Town Manager Dennis Lajoie “to coordinate the planning, implementation and monitoring of energy and resilience projects and to be the primary point of contact to the Community Resilience Partnership.” The partnership provides grants to municipalities to develop strategies to lower energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions. In other business, the board approved Earth Day events to be held April 22-24 at the Cottage Street Recreation Area sponsored by the Center for an Ecology-based Economy.
