Letter: Congress should support clean energy initiatives

SUN JOURNAL • March 4, 2022

At TruStrength Athletics, we recognize the importance of clean energy for our business and our community. The solar panels at our facility offset between 75 to 80% of our electric energy usage, which has been all the more beneficial to our business given the rising cost of energy in recent months. Our members appreciate our commitment to a clean future for our community, and the savings we earn from our solar system can be reinvested into positive user experiences for members. The clean energy tax credits contained within the pending Build Back Better Act are a great example of the type of support needed to grow clean energy in Maine, and I hope people will join us in urging Maine’s Congressional delegation to support continued federal clean energy incentives. ~ Jesse Wall, TruStrength Athletics owner, Oxford
