Man found dead on boat run aground on Maine island

A Phippsburg man was found dead Tuesday morning on an island off the coast. Vincent Wells, 37, was aboard a 25-foot Yamaha Jet Boat that had run aground on Flag Island just west of Phippsburg, according to the Maine Department of Marine Resources. His boat was spotted by a fisherman, and Maine Marine Patrol officers found Wells’ body about 7 a.m.
