There's nothing quite like witnessing an fascinating event in nature. Our example this week comes from the Androscoggin River. The video was posted by The Nature Conservancy in Maine, an organization that dedicates its efforts to fighting climate change and bio diversity loss. The organization's Facebook page has quite a bit of info on migratory river fish species here in Maine. According to mainerivers.org, the shortnose sturgeon can be found in many different rivers in the state. The endangered fish can grow to about 3 feet, weigh close to 10 lbs, and is a bottom feeder.
