Letter: Add Indigenous names to Maine road signs

PORTLAND PRESS HERALD • July 27, 2022

We live on unceded, stolen Wabanaki land. On road signs in Scotland, you will see both the English and the Gaelic names for towns, rivers, etc. Perhaps it is time for Maine’s road signs, in the same fashion, in the same spirit, to indicate the English with the Indigenous names where they are known. ~ Kenneth C. MacArthur, South Portland
