A search is underway for people who reportedly fell out of a boat around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on Ellis Pond (aka Silver Lake and Roxbury Pond) in the town of Roxbury. It was not clear how many people fell into the pond or what type of boat was involved, but Lakes Region Maine Fire and Rescue News, an independent news service, tweeted that there were multiple people in the pond and that the boat was unoccupied as it headed under its own power toward shore.
