Camden program to cover detection dogs’ role in wildlife research, conservation

The Center for Wildlife Studies “Wild Maine” series of nature programs, in partnership with the Camden Public Library, is scheduled to continue at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, with a look at how detection dogs are being trained to assist with wildlife research and conservation efforts. Lindsay Ware, founder of Science Dogs of New England, and animal behaviorist Dr. Cheryl Frederick, along with a trained detection dog, will discuss how dogs are sniffing out data for biological research.
