This forgotten Acadia peak is perfect for a winter hike

Cedar Swamp Mountain is a wonderful hike that offers open views of Mount Desert Island, the ocean and beyond. It’s also a great winter destination, if you’re looking for a moderately challenging hike that leads through an enchanting, snowy forest and past a gorgeous, icy waterfall. Acadia National Park is filled with options, even in the winter when much of the Park Loop Road is closed. It just takes a little research and planning to find the perfect adventure.
