Letter: Let’s tell power industry bloodsuckers to take a hike

MORNING SENTINEL • February 19, 2023

Deregulation has to be the worst thing that has ever happened to our power grid. I’m amazed at the sheer amount of disinformation there is out there. Misinformed individuals repeat the age-old falsehood that private industry does it better than government. They can sling that bull all they want but it doesn’t make it true.. The blame lies squarely with politicians, corrupted by big money, who have allowed the financial sector to pillage our utilities and gouge the public. We need to take our utilities back. I will be voting for Pine Tree Power, a consumer-owned and -run utility company. It’s time to tell the bloodsuckers of Wall Street to take a hike. ~ Ed Hunt, Norridgewock
