Biofine and Drax Group Enter Into Collaboration Agreement for Rapid Deployment of Biofine’s Proprietary Technology

Biofine Developments Northeast, based in Brookline, Massachusetts, has entered into an agreement with Drax Group of the UK, to advance rapid deployment of Biofine’s proprietary cellulose conversion technology. The companies agree to pursue opportunities with Drax’s existing fiber pelletizing assets across North America and Biofine’s development of renewable fuel, chemical, and biochar production biorefineries. Biofine plans to establish a biorefinery industry in Lincoln, Maine to leverage the ongoing collaborative R&D work at the University of Maine, and the State of Maine’s unique combination of industrial infrastructure and abundant wood-based biomass resource.
