Column: How to spend 48 hours way Down East

Down East might be quieter than other tourist destinations, but there’s a lot to see in the area, including a U.S. president’s summer home, an iconic lighthouse and a jaw-dropping coastal trail. There are also fishing villages to check out and plenty of spots to get fresh seafood.
