Woman injured after falling off cliff at Acadia National Park

A woman was injured late Friday morning after falling about 30 feet off a cliff near Thunder Hole in Acadia National Park. The Coast Guard was notified at about 11:50 a.m. and responded by boat from Southwest Harbor. The woman, who has not been publicly identified, is believed to have fallen into the water and may have been pulled out by others at the scene. “The initial assessment is that she had a head laceration and potential broken bones and bodily bruising.”
