On Wednesday, March 9, 2022, Lisa Pohlmann announced that she will be retiring as Natural Resources Council of Maine CEO by the end of this year. She has led the organization for the past 11 years. Before that she served on the NRCM board for seven years, including two as President. In 2008, she became the Deputy Director. Maria Gallace, NRCM Board Chair, said Lisa’s many accomplishments include expanding staff and programs, growing the number of supporters to over 25,000, concluding a three-year, $6.6 million “Protecting the Nature of Maine” capital campaign, engaging the next generation by creating NRCM Rising and The Brookie Awards, and bringing concerns of diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice to inform our work.
