A quarter of a million dollars is going to help low-income Mainers struggling with food insecurity. The USDA and state officials met at Good Shepherd Food Bank in Auburn for the announcement Monday. The money will help the emergency food assistance program's reach in remote and tribal areas of the state. One of the grants will increase the capacity of two food pantries in eastern Maine.
